Apple has reportedly registered a new GenAI-focused web domain ahead of its WWDC 2026 developer conference. The move has triggered speculation about major Siri upgrades and expanded Apple Intelligence features. Apple has been under pressure to match competitors that have moved quickly in the AI race over the past two years.
Apple has reportedly registered the subdomain genai.apple.com on its domain servers, although the address is not active yet. Apple has already promised major AI updates across its software platforms after facing criticism over Apple Intelligence and Siri delays. The newly registered address hints that Apple could launch a dedicated hub for generative AI tools and services soon.
The company has also agreed to a $250 million settlement in a class action lawsuit accusing it of misleading customers about those features.
Apple is expected to introduce several new AI-powered experiences across iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 during the June 8 keynote. Reports suggest the company is working on a more personal version of Siri that can understand what is happening on a user’s screen and respond in a more natural way. The upgraded Siri experience may also include a dedicated app where users can have full conversations, similar to chatbots such as ChatGPT and Claude.
Apple Intelligence may bring automatic captions for videos recorded on an iPhone. Voice Control could also become more natural, allowing users to speak in simple phrases while using apps like Apple Maps or Files. The company is reportedly planning AI support for the Shortcuts app to help users create automations more easily.
Other features expected at WWDC include automatic naming for Safari tab groups and smarter Visual Intelligence tools that can read nutrition labels or save contact details directly from documents and business cards.
