Apple has increased the prices of Apple Music and Apple One subscriptions in India. The new prices are now live for new users. Existing subscribers will see the higher charges in their next monthly payment. This is Apple's first subscription price increase in the country since 2024.
The Apple Music Individual plan now costs Rs. 139 per month instead of Rs. 119. The Student plan has gone up from Rs. 59 to Rs. 69 per month. The Family plan now costs Rs. 229 instead of Rs. 179 every month. It allows up to six family members to use separate accounts with their own songs, playlists, and music suggestions.
Apple has also increased the prices of Apple One plans. The Individual plan now costs Rs. 195 per month, up from Rs. 175. The Family plan has gone up from Rs. 365 to Rs. 445. The Premier plan now costs Rs. 595 instead of Rs. 499 every month.
Apple One brings several of the company’s services into one plan. It includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and iCloud storage. People who use more than one Apple service can get everything with a single monthly payment.
Apple has not shared the reason for the latest price increase. Similar changes have already happened in countries like the US, the UK, and several parts of Europe. Reports say higher music licensing and service costs could be one reason behind the latest update.
Apple recently increased the prices of some Mac, MacBook, iPad, Apple TV, and HomePod models in different markets. The company has also raised iPhone prices in Japan. The latest change shows that Apple is increasing prices for both its products and subscription services.
Even after the increase, Apple One can still save money for people who use several Apple services every month. Since the price difference between Apple Music and Apple One is now smaller, some users may choose the bundle instead of paying for each service separately.
