Apple is likely to bring a new macOS at its upcoming launch event on 4 March 2026. Reportedly, Apple could bring an affordable MacBook and a refreshed Studio Display.

Apple aims to bring an affordable MacBook featuring a new macOS 26.3. This device has been in the talks for quite some time. The rumored macOS 26.3 is expected to be internally labelled as J700. The new model is expected to be priced between US$599 and US$799.
Speculation is rife that the new model would feature a 12.9-inch display and brighter colour options. It could include the A18 Pro chip instead of Apple’s classic M series silicon. Bringing an A18 Pro instead of an M-series chip emphasizes delivering a device that supports everyday tasks without compromising on advanced performance features.
Keeping with its brand image, the new Apple model promises high performance for browsing, basic office work, and streaming live events and shows.
The main highlight of the MacBook codename “J700” is that it is rumored to be the most affordable and power-packed laptop after Apple’s MacBook Air.
Two additional products that Apple might introduce at the launch are codenamed J527 and J427. These are associated with the updated versions of the Apple Studio Display. Apple has made no official statement to confirm these launches, and the exact specifications remain unclear.
