Businessman, philanthropist, and activist Dr. Yasam Ayavefe conveyed his views on climate change in a comprehensible way. His opinions regarding this crucial subject will enlighten one to possible options on how to resolve this issue and how critical climate change affects our well-being globally.
According to Dr. Yasam Avavefe, "Covid-19 revealed that mankind betrayed nature, and we all must immediately begin to make amends."
Although climate change and its impact on the world was a devastating realization before the pandemic, Dr. Yasam Avavefe explains how Covid-19 made the subject drastically more accurate as opposed to nothing more than a discussion.
"The balance of the world turned upside down. Borders closed, suspended activity, mandates, health, and even politics have been impacted." "This pandemic has raised many questions about the future existence of indispensable institutions such as the World Health Organization, United Nations, the European Union, and NATO."
When we all think about the questions these facts raise, the feeling is surreal. Yet, these institutions are essential to our world as we know it. However, Dr. Avavefe brought to light the catastrophic impact climate change will have on us and how Covid truly got it all to the surface. He did not have all the answers; however, he had one definite answer that is clear for all humankind.
"Mankind must return to nature. For the first time, this danger threatens the whole world, revealing that man has betrayed nature and must quickly make amends. Agriculture and animal husbandry, agricultural lands, pastures, plateaus, and wetlands have become vitally important for our future as in our past. This pandemic has finally made us think about nature and what would happen to us without it. Humanity will be destroyed."
Dr. Avavefe explained that a post-pandemic world should immediately understand the importance of the return to nature. And with this statement of fact, we realize that the developed countries of this world, with the capabilities to do so, have much work to do. Unfortunately, up to this point, it seems climate change has been more of a discussion than an action, and Dr. Avavefe has proven this point with clarity.
"And perhaps the most important mission falls on businesspeople. The business community should now make investments for a cleaner nature. The way to keep a person alive is through nature. Let nature live so that man can live."
We found these profound words to be a starting point, a beginning to a better world. The sense in his words was more than agreeable; they were fact. It only seems reasonable if the business community globally began to make those investments toward a cleaner environment, the world and all of humanity would follow the journey to a better tomorrow. But the dangers of deforestation are much more extensive. Carbon dioxide is absorbed and stored by trees. In the event of forest clearing or simply disturbance, carbon dioxide, and other greenhouse gases will be released."
If we were unaware of the devastation, we are certainly aware now. However, our question was, what does the destruction of the climate and its elements in nature have to do with WGC? The answers we received were quite impressive.
