Microsoft Plans to Train 10,000 Indian Engineers in Artificial intelligence

Ever gave a thought who are to be credited for the boon of Artificial Intelligence that has weaved into our lives so deeply? The Artificial Engineers of course, and to aid the club, Microsoft has announced to establish Artificial Intelligence Lab in 10 universities in the country and train around 5 lakh youth in novel technologies. Also, the company will edify 10,000 developers in next three years of span.

Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India said "We believe AI will enable Indian businesses and more for India's progress, especially in education, skilling, healthcare and agriculture,"

Currently, Microsoft AI powers digital evolution for nearly 700 customers out of which 60 percent are big scale manufacturing and financial services projects. The company quoted that more than 700 alliances have braced themselves to aid AI environment.

Earlier in December, the company had announced a 3-year 'Intelligent Cloud Hub' collaborative programme in India for entrusting institutes to train students in Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Technologies.

Indian subcontinent is the first amongst other countries to adapt such programme. The Microsoft powered drill will support certain institutes in adopting best infrastructure, modules and content, onsite training for professionals and students as well, access for participants to Cloud and AI services, industry tools and developer assistance.

Last year in April, Microsoft announced the MPP – Microsoft Professional Programme for public which will help in training engineers with job-ready skills amalgamating with real-world practical experiences. This programme will also provide people a platform for those who desire to hone their skills and aspire to enter the world of AI and data science using an array of online courses.

Further Anant Maheshwari added "Microsoft also believes that it is imperative to build higher awareness and capabilities on security, privacy, trust and accountability."
