Microsoft is Testing Crypto Wallet Feature in its Edge Browser an in-built "Ethereum"

According to reports, Microsoft is working on incorporating a Web3 wallet that is compatible with cryptocurrencies and nonfungible tokens (NFTs).

A Twitter user who posted screenshots of the user interface was the first person to notice the crypto wallet feature. The wallet is non-custodial and is coordinated into Edge's current wallet including for putting away instalment cards.

To protect their assets, testers are required to create a 12-word recovery phrase and a password during on boarding. As a result, the user's crypto assets will be protected by a password and a reliable recovery strategy.

According to the Bleeping Computer, the wallet will generate an Ethereum address following the on boarding process so that users can receive funds through the Ethereum network. Ethereum allows users to switch between multiple accounts as needed.

To transfer their assets, users can log in and access their assets using known names and addresses.

A built-in cryptocurrency swap feature between Ethereum, Dai Stablecoin, Uniswap, USD Coin, and Tether Coin has also been developed through a partnership between the tech giant and Consensys, a blockchain software technology company.

In the meantime, the tech giant will begin offering 3D avatars in Teams in May.
