Apple to Bring Out Silicon M3 Mac Model Soon

From M3 Mac to M2 MacBooks, what can we expect from Apple during WWDC 2023?

Apple is looking to make some serious announcements during WWDC 2023 this year. The new M2 MacBooks are also rumored to be announced during the event. And now, the Cupertino tech major has started working on its next-gen M3 chips as details regarding the same have now appeared. Keep reading to know more.

The M3 chip Is expected to deliver better performance and efficiency thanks to the 3nm fabrication process. The CPU core count on the M3 chip is expected to be the same as the M2 chip. M3-powered iPad Pro with OLED display will not arrive until next year.

Apple is expected to debut the M3 chipset around October this year. The company might use the 2nd generation TSMC 3nm process for its M3 chipset. The M3 chipset will power the upcoming iMac, M3 13-inch MacBook Air, and M3 MacBook Pro.

However, Apple will keep M3-based high-end MacBook Pros (14-inch and 16-inch models) and the Mac Studio for 2024. Gurman states, "October is too early for new high-end MacBook Pros or desktops, so the first beneficiaries of the new chip should be the next iMac, 13-inch MacBook Air, and 13-inch MacBook Pro."
