AiDA is the New Fashion Icon Merging Tech and Art

AiDA is the new fashion icon merging tech and art that debuted at a Hong Kong fashion show

This year, models wore clothing that had been created using an AI-powered tool during the Fashion X AI exhibition in Hong Kong. The items on display, which included over 80 ensembles from 14 designers, were made with the aid of a program called AiDA, or AI-based Interactive Design Assistant.

Participants in Cynthia Tse's event on December 19 claimed they felt as though they were seeing the future of fashion. Regarding one dress on exhibit, Tse remarked, "I suppose the cover of her face must look like an alien, and it's intriguing." The program, according to AidLab CEO Calvin Wong, was developed to serve as a "supporter tool" for designers.

AiDA is an assistant fashion designer who helps them collaborate, as Wong explained. "AI and Designer can collaborate to create the final collection." The AiDA system, according to Wong, is driven by artificial intelligence technologies for picture production, detection, and identification. Virtual mood boards allow designers to input initial designs, materials, and color schemes. Software algorithms then generate blueprints that designers can edit and personalize with their skills.

According to Wong, this technology can generate a dozen template options in less than 10 seconds, saving important creative time. Mountain Yam, a fashion designer located in Hong Kong, has also been using AiDA for the past six months and claims that it has not only inspired her work but also saved her time.

"Our connection is akin to a romantic one in which I appear to increasingly recognize Aida and he gradually becomes aware of my preferences" says Yam adding further "The system will provide a suggestion for me based on my line, style, and database that I may never have thought of but is, in Aida's (Aida's) opinion, appropriate for me. I thus think that our connection will last a long time."

While pointing out that they are not as radical as the futuristic collection she helped create when she started her career, fashion designer Yulia Tlili expressed her hope that the AI design would be more prominent in the collection.

I believe AI has full of potential, and this is a very excellent chance for students and teachers to genuinely work together on this highly exciting topic, said Tlili.

AiDA is open to designers in Europe and Asia Pacific and was formally introduced during the Fashion X AI exhibition.

Ai-DA

With the fusion of robotics and artificial intelligence, Ai-Da is a robotic poet and artist. By developing Ai-Da, a robot with a twist, Aidan Meller of Oxford has made it conceivable. The first ultra-realistic humanoid robot in the world is a highly accomplished poet and artist. In honor of the Italian poet Dante, who wrote the epic Divine Comedy, she recently went so far as to read some of her writings in public. The event marked the 700th anniversary of the famous poet's passing. The audience at Oxford's Ashmolean Museum was captivated by Ai-poetry Da's because it had a unique quality.

Her poetry had a responsive quality in that she incorporated robotics into her creative production while using her algorithms and database to produce it after being intellectually influenced by Dante's speech patterns. As any creative would be, Aidan Meller was quick to point out that Ai-emotional Da's interpretation of these phrases makes her no different from the poets who write poetry.

The following is an example of a robotic poet and artist: "We glanced up from our rhymes like blindfolded captives, sent forth to seek the light, but it never arrived." The picture would need to be finished with a needle and thread. To see the pitiful, miserable creatures, a hawk's eyes are stitched shut. The lines fit in nicely with Ai-design Da's philosophy, which is to use AI to create robots that mimic humans by adapting robotic behavior. To highlight the potential tight relationship between humans and robots, it also focuses on human behavioral tendencies. Not to mention, these examples portray cutting-edge technology as humanistic and free, as opposed to its sometimes-considered restrictive nature.
