As a Principal Database Engineer for Oracle, you will be responsible for:
Database performance tuning, optimizing SQL, or troubleshooting GoldenGate replication by utilizing AWR, ASH, and ADDM.
Designing and configuring GoldenGate replication and achieving full real-time, optimized, bidirectional data movements between heterogeneous environments.
Deploy and optimize Oracle 23ai ATP and ADW, along with configuring and optimizing auto-scaling of database services with O23ai features for secured mode and other forms of AI-driven analytics.
Managing OCI database services. Utilize Terraform for all provisioning and business unit migrations through GoldenGate Cloud.
Administering multiple versions of Oracle databases in a high-availability and recovery environment on OCI, while enhancing efficiency within the data processing layer of the OCI-based services.
Enforcing data encryption, masking, RBAC, and GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS compliance, all on top of OHAS patching.
10+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator and Engineer.
Experience with Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) for real-time data replication.
Experience with Oracle 23ai ATP (Autonomous Transaction Processing) and ADW (Autonomous Data Warehouse), and related optimizations.
In-depth knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, optimization of queries, and tuning databases.
Familiarity in using RMAN, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Hands-on experience with OCI-based database solutions and some form of code repository/automation such as Terraform/Ansible.
Knowledge of cloud networking, security policies, and IAM roles in OCI.
Experience with Kafka, Oracle Stream Analytics, or other real-time data streaming technologies.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) for database automation.
Oracle Certifications (OCP, OCI Architect, or OGG Specialist) are highly desirable.
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
