Unlocking the Potential of ChatGPT: A Step-by-Step Guide to Using ChatGPT with Siri on Your iPhone

ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI that can assist users with a wide range of queries and questions. With the help of Siri on your iPhone, you can easily use ChatGPT to get answers to your questions or seek assistance with a variety of tasks. Here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to use ChatGPT with Siri on your iPhone:

Requirements:

  1. Download Siri Pro (Shortcut)

A useful shortcut that runs on your iPhone allows ChatGPT to be integrated with Siri. Therefore, the Siri shortcut must be downloaded. Download the Siri Pro shortcut to get started. HERE

  1. ChatGPT API Key

To use ChatGPT's services with Siri on your iPhone, you must use its API. Through your OpenAI account, you can get access to the ChatGPT API key. To get that, go to the OpenAI API keys page and log in to your account. From the menu, select "Create new secret key". Once done, copy the OpenAI API key.

Note: Do remember that once you copy the key and close the pop-up box, you cannot copy the same API key again. So, keep it somewhere safe.

How to Set up and Use ChatGPT with Siri on Your iPhone

You may now use the Siri shortcut to see how it works after downloading the Siri Pro shortcut and copying the API key:

  1. To access the Siri Pro shortcut that was downloaded, launch the Shortcuts app.
  2. This is where you may get the Siri Pro shortcut. To access the shortcut's settings, tap the ellipsis symbol (three dots).
  3. "Insert ChatGPT API Key here," is the message you will see under the second dialogue box labeled "Text." Copy and paste your API key here, then touch "Done" in the top right corner.

You're done, then! Your iPhone's Siri is now integrated with ChatGPT. By tapping on Siri Pro in the Shortcuts app or by saying Hey Siri followed by the shortcut's name, you can activate the shortcut (Bro, Pro, or your own renamed title).

NOTE: The ability of ChatGPT Siri to function on your iPhone is based on the AI chatbot's current server load. If ChatGPT is overloaded, there's a good risk the shortcut won't respond. Wait an hour or two before attempting the shortcut again.
