How Bitcoin, Cardano, and Big Eyes Coin are Incorporating Charities into Cryptocurrency

While cryptocurrency doesn't make sense to novices, the idea of helping the poor is something many people are happy to do. With the creation of cryptocurrency and its complexities, the key players in the industry still find ways to transfer value to the less fortunate while making money themselves.

Yet if the dream of full adoption was to be achieved, then there is a need for more people to be able to do what Vitalik Buterin regularly does—giving money evenly to distribute to people in need. Bitcoin (BTC) and Big Eyes Coin (BIG) aim to solve this problem.

Bitcoin (BTC) Aiding the Pineapple Funds Project

Bitcoin (BTC) is the pioneer of the cryptocurrency space with two simple goals. One, provide a means against the centralization of financial power. Two, be an anonymous currency that is adopted worldwide.

Though it is yet to accomplish the second goal fully, BTC remains an anonymous way of transferring value from one person to another without the need for financial institutions. This is why its creator and community can stay anonymous while influencing the world.

In 2017, one anonymous user gathered 5,104 BTC, valued at $55 million, which he used to build the pineapple project. He called it "a philanthropy experiment using bitcoin (BTC)."

The donor went by the alias "Pine," claiming to be one of the world's 250 largest holders of BTC. The organization was started in December of 2017 during the crypto bubble. The objective is to fund 60 charities worldwide using the transparency of the blockchain as a means to verify acceptance and use.

This allows the global community to verify the transaction, ensuring it is used as instructed. This act opened up many possibilities for cryptocurrency and charity, allowing people to bring real-world use to otherwise digital instruments.

After BTC opened the path to charity, other crypto projects came into existence, built specifically to help where help is needed.

Big Eyes Coin (BIG) Community and the Ecosystem

The Big Eyes Coin (BIG) project is a community focused on shifting wealth into protecting essential parts of the ecosystem.

Big Eyes Coin (BIG) is a DeFi, Swap, and NFT platform focused on building a robust community. To include everybody in cryptocurrency and charity donations, the project aims to "deconfuse DeFi" with simplicity and practice. They are ensuring that DeFi knowledge becomes mainstream.

Giving access to the creation, minting, and selling of NFTs and a Cat themed marketplace for distributing NFTs. With little complexities and cost, entry-level participants are provided a crutch to engage, get used to, and master the Defi and NFT space. The platform also boasts a tax-free purchase and sale feature.

BIG is not a non-profit entity. Adopting the mindset of economic entities, the project aims to be self-sustaining, Using the economic activities of the platform to power global ecosystem saving efforts.

With the sale of NFTs, the platform allocates 4% to the original creator and 1% to charity. 5% of the total supply of BIG is to be held to fund community-chosen charities focused on saving the fish and the oceans.

Cardano (ADA) Wants to Save the Children

Since its inception, Cardano (ADA) has been focused on solving real-world problems. From Government transparency to public sector decentralization. And the charity sector has not been left out.

While the Cardano (ADA) foundation is focused on protecting the future of Blockchain, they are also protecting the future of humanity and the children of the future.

In the past, the project has proposed ways of impacting the lives of children through digital schooling and achievement records to increase transparency and accountability in organizations, especially the public sector.

In a bid to be more direct, the Cardano (ADA) foundation partnered with a Rwandan NGO, Save the children, aimed at funding projects for children. The partnership would install a payment gateway that allows Save the Children to accept crypto donations without third parties or the need to convert to fiat.

Save the Children in Rwanda also launched Kumwe Hub. Kumwe Hub is an initiative pushing advancement in projects like crossing border academic records for students, digital IDs for refugees, and financial assistance for families of less fortunate children.

The Cardano (ADA) foundation extends an invitation to any establishment that wants to use ADA's ecosystem to push humanitarian initiatives.

The transparency of the blockchain and the ability to stay anonymous allows users to give money anonymously to someone in need virtually all over the world. This also shows yet another real-life scenario where crypto is touching lives.
