The colorful world of Quordle invites word enthusiasts to decode four puzzles in nine strategic moves. Each guess illuminates the path with green tiles for correct letters in the right positions, yellow for correct letters needing repositioning, and gray for letters to eliminate from consideration.
In the expanding universe of online word games, Quordle emerged as a more complex alternative to Wordle. Creator David Mah's concept, brought to life through Freddie Meyer's development skills, eventually caught the attention of Merriam-Webster, which now hosts this daily linguistic challenge.
Players only need to guess 4 letters to guess the correct word. Guessing the first and last letter is a good strategic start to solving Quordle.
The first word starts with R (top-left).
The second word starts with S (top-right).
The third word starts with W (bottom-left).
The fourth word starts with N (bottom-right)
The first word ends with R (top-left).
The second word ends with L (top-right)
The third word ends with R (bottom-left).
The fourth word ends with H (bottom-right).
Predicting words with vowels are the best hints in Quordle. They frequently appear in English words in a common pattern, such as CVC, consonant-vowel-consonant. For example, try "CARAT" and "SPAWN" from the previous day's Quordle game. Select “Past Games” from the "Daily Classic" drop-down menu, then select the Wednesday, March 19 game.
2 vowels are in the first word (top-left).
1 vowel is in the second word (top-right).
2 vowels are in the third word (bottom-left).
1 vowel is in the fourth word (bottom-right).
Repeating letters is best suited for an elimination strategy. When a letter appears twice, half of the word can be guessed with little difficulty. Employ this strategy to cut down chances for attempts with our skillful hints below. From the 17 March 2025 game, letter “E” helps with guessing two words and the letter “I” also helps guessing two words.
No repeating letter is in the first word.
1 consonant is repeated twice in the second word.
No repeating letter is in the third word.
No repeating letter is in the fourth word.
Meaning indicates what a word could be. It's one strategy where instead of guessing letters. An entire word puzzle is guessed.
First word (top-left): A fruit or grain developed to the point of harvesting or eating.
Second word (top-right): A deep silence or calmness.
Third word (bottom-left): A thin piece of something.
Fourth word (bottom-right): A slit made to serve a record.
Solutions ahead. However, before that, try to guess an entire word from the 18 March 2025 game's hint; a small group of trees! For those who are just interested in the final words rather than another journey, today's solution just lies ahead.
