Quordle presents players with the ultimate vocabulary test, four distinct five-letter words to uncover in just nine attempts. After each guess, the color-coded feedback guides your strategy, green tiles confirm correct letters in correct positions, yellow tiles show right letters in wrong spots, and gray tiles reveal letters not present.
When David Mah imagined expanding Wordle's challenge by four, he laid the foundation for what would become Quordle. Developer Freddie Meyer refined this ambitious idea into a playable format, and dictionary authority Merriam-Webster eventually embraced the game, securing its position among popular daily word puzzles.

These strategy tips are designed to help with predicting words with a diverse range of strategies.
Predicting words with vowels is the best hint in Quordle. They frequently appear in English words in a common pattern, such as CVC, consonant-vowel-consonant. For example, try "BRUTE" and "SHOUT" from the previous day's Quordle game. Select "Past Games" from the "Daily Classic" drop-down menu, then select the 7 April 2025 game.
Repeating letters is best suited for an elimination strategy. When a letter appears twice, half of the word can be guessed with little difficulty. From the 5 April 2025 game:
Letter “T” helps with guessing the first, second and third word.
Letter “U” helps with guessing the first and second word.
Letter “A” helps with guessing the second and fourth word.
Letter “E” helps with guessing the third and fourth word.
Solutions are up front. But before that, try to guess a word taken from the hint of the game played on 6 April 2025 - So smooth, even problems slide right off.!
For those who want just the answers:
WIDTH
VISOR
MEDAL
BROOK
Even vocabulary experts find themselves challenged by this game, which perfectly balances difficulty with the satisfaction of solving all four puzzles.
