Master April 12's Quordle Challenge: Four-Word Puzzle Strategies That Work Every Time
Today's Quordle Hints and Answers for March 12, 2025
Published on

Quordle presents the ultimate word detective challenge—decipher four five-letter words within nine attempts. Each guess provides vital clues through colored tiles: green for letters perfectly placed, yellow for correct letters needing repositioning, and gray for letters absent from all target words.

Game Origins

Inspiration struck when David Mah contemplated expanding a single-word challenge, giving birth to Quordle. Freddie Meyer's development expertise transformed the concept into reality before Merriam-Webster recognized its potential and brought it into their family of word puzzles.

Strategy Tips

These strategy tips are designed to help with predicting words with a diverse range of strategies.

Vowel Strategy

Predicting words with vowels is the best hint in Quordle. They frequently appear in English words in a common pattern, such as CVC, consonant-vowel-consonant. For example, try "UNTIE" and "NOOSE" from the previous day's Quordle game. Select "Past Games" from the "Daily Classic" drop-down menu, then select the 11 April 2025 game.

Elimination Strategy

Repeating letters is best suited for an elimination strategy. When a letter appears twice, half of the word can be guessed with little difficulty. From the 9 April 2025 game:

  • Letter “E” helps with guessing the first and second word.

  • Letter “T” helps with guessing the first and second word.

  • Letter “H” helps with guessing the first and fourth word.

  • Letter “L” helps with guessing the first, second, third and fourth word.

Spoiler Alert

Solutions are up front. But before that, try to guess a word taken from the hint of the game played on 10 April 2025 - A knot that skipped charm school!

For those who want just the answers:

  • BLIND

  • OVOID

  • CACHE

  • THING

Both novice and expert wordsmiths find themselves thoroughly engaged by this game's perfect difficulty balance. Each solved puzzle brings the unique satisfaction that only this game can provide.
