
The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) is evolving with further announcement of its next expansion as Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together which is expected to be released worldwide on the 28th of March 2025. This expansion not only promises thrilling new gameplay elements but also marks a significant milestone: the start of the Pokémon TCG in Latin American Spanish.
This update comes after Pokémon GO’s adaptation for Latin American Spanish in the recent year, shows that Pokémon Company International is ready to fan interest in Latin America. As for Tomás Cortijo, the Pokémon TCG’s regional director for Latin America, this change was described as, “Incorporating Latin American Spanish into the Pokémon TCG allows us to provide our Latin American fans with a new way to experience the brand.”
The TCG fans in Latin America can now expect to play the game in their language with the Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together expansion. Future versions will also come with LA Spanish support furthering the accessibility of the game.
A highlight of this expansion is the return of Trainer’s Pokémon cards, which showcase the special bond between Pokémon Trainers and their Pokémon. Each card features the Trainer’s name and unique artwork. Players can look forward to cards like N’s Zoroark ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Iono’s Bellibolt ex, and Hop’s Zacian ex.

3 hyper rare gold-etched cards
Booster packs and Elite Trainer Boxes can now be pre-ordered at Pokémon Center in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom. A sneak preview of the expansion Journey Together can be obtained during prerelease tournaments starting March 15, 2025, or through the Pokémon TCG Live app starting March 27, 2025.
