New York Times' Connections has become the latest word game craze, challenging players with its daily puzzles. Like Wordle, Connections resets every day and gives a new set of words to solve each day. The game challenges players to find four groups of four words that share a common thread, but as the days progress, the puzzles get tougher and tougher.

For people who are stuck on today's puzzle, do not worry, scroll below for some Connections history, helpful tips, and strategies to crack it.

What is Connections?

Connections is one of the latest NYT games that is gaining popularity quickly. The game has joined the ranks of NYT Wordle and Strands, amassing over a million daily active users.

According to associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, who designed the game, it asks players to group 16 words into four categories of four. Each category can be based on anything from TV shows to country names or even book titles. The main challenge, however, is that while some words may fit together, there is only one way to group them.

Players are allowed four errors before the game ends, therefore, guessing should not be taken lightly. As the board is interactive with the ability to move around the words, it makes connections easier to find and for words to be grouped.

The color-coded system using yellow, green, blue, and purple also gives one an idea of how close they are to solving the puzzle. Yellow is the easiest category, while purple is the most challenging. After grouping all four sets correctly, the results can be shared with friends on social media, just like Wordle.
