It is important to focus on wordplay, homophones, puns, and double meanings as they play an important role in the game. If five words come under the same category, one of them is probably a trap. The purple group is usually the most challenging one.
The Connections puzzle for August 8 is considered medium-difficulty as there is a fairly equal distribution between easy and hard connections in the puzzle. However, it is easy to figure out which category many of the words belong to upon finding their connection.
