Draupnir is a big dungeon challenge in Aion 2; players generally unlock it at level 45. It was a famous dungeon in the original Aion, but now it has returned as an early expedition with a story quest. The dungeon is located inside the Abyss, which is a PvP zone, so players need to stay alert when they enter it. The rewards of completing the dungeon are a large amount of EXP, gear sets, Aion 2 Kinah, and a powerful weapon. In this guide, we will learn how to start the quest, what level and item level are needed to enter it, how to move through the dungeon and beat the final boss, and what loot we can win.

How to Unlock the Draupnir Quest

At level 45, we get Draupnir as an Episode quest for the Elyos characters. Draupnir is a part of the Kaisinel’s Core chapter. To start the Draupnir quest, we have to finish the previous quest called Diverging Path. To start the Draupnir quest, we have to go to the Zumion Village area found in Verteron. After we go there, the next thing we will be doing is finding the NPC Dymones with a yellow mark on its head. After we talk to the NPC, we get the quest. At the end, players talk to Koro to finish the quest.

Quest Walkthrough

Draupnir quest has four different steps. We get to know about Draupnir from Dymones. To find the entrance to the dungeon of Draupnir, the next place to go is the Garden of the Illusion God. The Abyss portal is close to the entrance. Draupnir is a PvP zone, which is inside the Abyss portal; the team should stay alert of their surroundings after entering the dungeon. After we are inside, we have to complete the Draupnir expedition. The quest tracker will guide us through eight different small steps.

First, we have to go to the Abyss Control Sector and use the Abyss Entrance Control Device, then jump into the Windstream and use the Windstream Activation Device. The next place we go to is the Mediation Room, then defeat the Bakarma Brigade, enter its subspace, and then fight the final boss, Transcendent Bakarma. After we complete this series of events and talk to Koro, the quest will be completed.

Entry Requirements

Draupnir has two difficulty modes: Exploration and Conquest. Players must be level 45 and should have an item level of 700 to access them. We can play both modes either alone or with a team. Both dungeons have a time limit of 60 minutes individually. Exploration mode is easier; boss patterns are also reduced in difficulty, which makes it good for learning the route. Conquest mode is harder than exploration, so many players end up playing it multiple times. The monsters are stronger, and bosses also have harder patterns with attacks that can kill the whole team with one strike. So, players must prepare in advance. That is why many players buy Aion 2 Kinah to get good gear and equipment to support their run in Conquest.

Quest Rewards

After the quest is completed, we get rewards in good quantity. We will get 24,512,068 EXP, 51,000 Bound Aion 2 Kinah, one Spiritforged Guard, five Superior Courage Scrolls, five Lesser Manastones, and five Lesser Soulstones. Except for the Spiritforged Guard, all the rewards are bound. The bound items stay with our characters, so we cannot trade them. The main gear is the Anguish epic set and the Bakarma unique set. Bakarma is the only source of the Bakarma armor set and the Sealed Blue Wave Wings. After the quest is completed, to open the reward cube at the end Odyle Energy is used.

Dungeon Route and Bosses

At level 45, there are four Hero-rank enemies inside the dungeon of Draupnir. The four enemies are:

  • Phantasmal Lakshmi

  • Predator Saraswati

  • Afflicted Bakarma

  • Transcendent Bakarma (the final boss)

The first three enemies are the early fights, and Transcendent Bakarma is the final boss. After defeating it, we will see the expedition completion screen, and the Odyle Energy Cube will appear so that we can open it. To complete the dungeon, players should bring a tank and have the tank use the entrance device to start the expedition. We should take our time with the packs of monsters between the bosses, because a rushed game is the easiest way to lose a run.

Beating Transcendent Bakarma: The Final Boss

The final boss is where players struggle the most. It can kill the entire group if nobody saves their stagger skills for the right moment. The best thing players can do is to hold their strongest stagger ability until the Bakarma’s health drops to 75%. It also uses waves of minions; we must be careful of those too. Before the final boss, we pass through a boss portal, and if we move slowly, we will miss it and get no loot.

We will also get no loot if we die to the powerful one-strike attack and no one revives us, or if we do not have enough Resurrection Spiritstones. This makes it important for the team to stay together while fighting the boss, move quickly, and keep enough revival items ready to use at any time.

Conclusion

Draupnir is a great first step towards the expeditions in Aion 2. The quest is straightforward; we finish Diverging Paths, talk to Dymones, and clear the dungeon. Players must be level 45 and have item level 700 so that they can enter the dungeon solo or with a team. Having a good supply of Kinah, useful gear, and equipment can save our run, and in return we can get a good amount of rewards, which will make our efforts worth it.
