These programs are tailored to meet the needs of both beginners and experienced professionals, providing a comprehensive understanding of data science processes, tools, and applications.

The Essence of Stanford's Data Science Bootcamps

Stanford's Data Science Bootcamps are intensive, hands-on training sessions that focus on teaching the core concepts and practical applications of data science. Participants gain proficiency in Python programming and become adept at using essential libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Scikit-learn. These libraries form the backbone of data manipulation, analysis, and visualization in Python, making them indispensable for any aspiring data scientist.

Curriculum and Learning Outcomes

The boot camps cover a wide array of topics, starting with an overview of the data science process. This includes identifying problems, asking pertinent questions, and understanding the steps involved in working through a data science problem. The curriculum delves into descriptive and inferential statistics, providing participants with the tools to perform hypothesis testing and interpret the significance of their analyses.

Program Structure

The boot camps are structured into multiple half-day sessions, allowing participants to quickly become knowledgeable and efficient data science professionals. The sessions are delivered live online, making them accessible to a global audience. Upon completion, participants earn a Stanford Technology Training Certificate of Proficiency in Data Science, signifying their mastery of the subject.

Industry Relevance and Career Impact

Data science is a field that has seen exponential growth in recent years, and its relevance spans across industries. From healthcare to finance, and from technology to retail, data science plays a pivotal role in decision-making and strategy formulation. Stanford's Data Science Bootcamps prepare individuals to meet the industry's demands, equipping them with the skills to analyze complex data sets, derive insights, and contribute to data-driven solutions.

The Live Online Data Science Bootcamp is an immersive program consisting of 6 sessions, each lasting 3 hours, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The sessions are scheduled on specific dates: March 26, March 28, April 2, April 5, April 9, and April 12. This structure allows participants to engage in real-time learning and interaction with instructors and peers. The total cost for this comprehensive training is US$1,200, which covers all six sessions. This format is ideal for those who prefer a structured, yet flexible, learning environment that can be accessed from anywhere. Below is the listing of 6 Live Online which cost around US$1,200.

Class Code

ITS-2569

Description:

The majority of Technology Training classes will be given online till further notice. Before each session, Tech Training will offer a Zoom connection for live online sessions, as well as any necessary class materials. This course covers all of the essential Python libraries used in data science, including NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Scikit-learn, also known as the Python data stack. We will do data exploration, analysis, visualization, and modelling.

Prerequisite: Basic Python Programming

In six half-day sessions of hands-on training, you can quickly become a knowledgeable, productive, and efficient Data Science practitioner while earning a Stanford Technology Training Certificate of Proficiency in Data Science.

The program starts by talking about the data science methodology and how to efficiently solve a data science challenge. The program also discusses how to clean, convert, and prepare data for analysis. The program also discusses descriptive and inferential statistics, which will allow you to test hypotheses and better understand the relevance of your findings. They will also prioritize machine learning and predictive analytics. You will go over the numerous techniques to assess model performance, how to choose the best model for your project, and how to improve that model.

Learning Objectives:

Throughout the Data Science Bootcamp, you'll embark on a comprehensive learning journey that begins with the installation of Anaconda on your personal computer, setting the stage for a deep dive into the world of data science. You'll gain a robust understanding of the field's significance and the systematic approach it entails. The course demystifies foundational concepts in descriptive and inferential statistics, paving the way for informed data analysis.

You'll explore why Python is the language of choice for data scientists, thanks to its simplicity and the powerful libraries at its disposal. Hands-on sessions will familiarize you with NumPy for data array and matrix interactions, Pandas for exploratory data analysis, and Matplotlib and Seaborn for insightful data visualizations. As you progress, you'll learn to cleanse and prep data for machine learning, apply algorithms to diverse datasets, and undertake a complete data science project from start to finish.
