Despite Binance and Ripple being sued by various entities of the US government, BNB and XRP are both on the rise, with XRP on the way to the moon at the moment. Dogecoin is plodding along without much development, but holding on to its price. Orbeon Protocol, a new type of crowdfunding platform, has seen incredible gains of over 2700% and is now in its final stage of presale ending in the next few days.
Whilst other exchanges like FTX are going down or have not tried to be compliant with regulators, it seems that Binance are always working to be better, showing healthy proof of reserves, working with the CFTC and more. Binance's CEO CZ also keeps in contact personally with his customers through Twitter, often sharing insightful comments. Nevertheless, another day, another problem for Changpeng Zhao, a man from humble upbringings who had his first job in Mcdonalds at 14, and is now the mastermind behind the BNB coin.
Binance and CZ responded publicly on their blog, giving a run down of the allegations made by the CFTC in their lawsuit, and explaining how and why they are mistakes. BNB initially dropped at the news but has since rebounded, indicating that crypto lovers trust CZ and Binance more than the CFTC. BNB is used for trading discounts on the CEX and also as a gas token on the BNB chain.
For many months now we've been hearing rumors that the Ripple team feel confident in the SEC vs Ripple lawsuit, revealing snippets of information that disprove that XRP was in fact a security at the alleged time. The final date is getting ever closer and traders are getting excited about what a win would mean for Ripple. On March 20th, XRP was trading for around $0.38, and at time of press it is currently $0.55. This may be a case of 'buy the rumour, sell the news' but it may also prove genuinely and sustainably bullish for Ripple and indeed the whole of crypto, if the case is settled in their favor.
Not much has been happening on the Dogecoin front for a while now, however the price has been holding steady, despite being down 46% over the year. This drop however, is common for most altcoins that were popular in the last bull run, including memecoins like Shiba Inu as well as Dogecoin. Many people believe that there will be another bull run in 2024 due to litecoin and bitcoin halving events and if this happens it could well be that Dogecoin performs well once again, perhaps bringing new people into crypto and a bit of tongue in cheek DOGE fun and memes as well.
