Biden and Harris meet with giant leaders to discuss AI risks to address any potential national security issues

The brightest minds in the world have expressed concern about AI risks, including that it could endanger humanity if a risk assessment is not carried out immediately. Amid this, Biden and Harris meet with giant leaders to discuss AI threats. Vice President Kamala Harris was given the reins of a meeting with businesses to discuss artificial intelligence. President Joe Biden set himself a light schedule with no public appearances from Tuesday through Thursday.

In addition, the Biden administration is attempting to address any potential national security issues brought on by AI, particularly in the areas of "cybersecurity, biosecurity, and safety," by enlisting the help of cybersecurity professionals from federal security agencies. To address lowering these possible hazards, Harris met with leaders from Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI.

In February, Biden issued an executive order ordering federal organizations to stop using bias in Artificial Intelligence. A risk management framework and an AI Bill of Rights have also been made public by the Biden administration. The Federal Trade Commission and the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice both declared last week that they would utilize their legal authority to combat AI-related harm.
