The survey explores interesting insights and information about the adoption of artificial intelligence in the Indian education sector, which will be beneficial for the institutions, organizations, schools, or organizations that have or are planning to adopt technology to enhance their educational prospects. 

AI is the enabler in improving online education. It can catalyze the online education market in  India, which is expected to surge in the coming years. Even though it is true that AI is here to advance the future prospects of education in the country, the role of teachers is irreplaceable. Artificial intelligence technology is expected to fill the gaps in learning and teaching methodology and delivery. With the help of AI, students can get personalized curricula, tests, learning methods, and delivery. 

While the use of artificial intelligence in the education sector in India has brought forward an array of advancements and challenges for educators and students in India, this Analytics Insight survey aims to discover the impact of AI in the education sector in India. Some of the key highlights of the survey are listed as follows:

  • A majority of the respondents (46.3%) who have responded to this survey are pursuing bachelor's degrees, whereas, 34.1% of them are pursuing master's degrees.
  • A majority of respondents (39%) accept that AI is extremely crucial for students in this modern tech-driven era.
  •   Over 63.4% of the total respondents have agreed that artificial intelligence is changing the studying and learning patterns of Indian students. On the other hand, 31.7% of the respondents are unsure of the implications of AI in studying and learning patterns of the students.
  •   Out of the 241 respondents, over 46.3% think that AI can determine school dropout rates in India, whereas 29.3% of them are unsure of its implications.
  • Brainly is leading the acceptance of AI-based education applications with over 57.1% share followed by Netex Learning at 19%. But a majority of the respondents (65.9%) have also accepted not being familiar with AI-based education applications.
  • More than 46.3% of respondents have agreed that artificial intelligence is the future of education in India, meanwhile, 41.5% of them possess a neutral opinion on AI making a difference in the Indian education sector in the future. 

For India, as the pandemic imposed online delivery of classes, technology, mainly AI played a critical role in ensuring that students can avail themselves of the maximum amount of knowledge that they get in this period. Thus, the adoption of AI in education has revolutionized education systems with better reach and improved execution.
