League of Kingdoms Rebrands to Arena-Z, a gamified, player-owned progression platform

Arena-Z introduces cross-game identity, a new token (A2Z), and a $20M ecosystem fund to power the next era of player-owned gaming

League of Kingdoms, the world’s first blockchain MMORTS game, has announced its rebrand to Arena-Z, transitioning to a gamified, player-owned progression platform. This marks the launch of several key initiatives: a new token (A2Z), multiple game titles in development to form a Web3-native game franchise, and a $20 million fund to support ecosystem growth.

With the rebrand, Arena-Z introduces a franchise-based model designed to enable interoperability and continuity across multiple titles. Two new games, LOK Chronicle and LOK Hunters, are currently in beta and set to join the flagship title by the end of the quarter. This officially enables players to carry their identity, assets, and achievements through the three titles.

This approach marks a shift from standalone titles to a Web3-native franchise model, where gameplay in one title directly influences the user’s journey in another. To support growth, Arena-Z has launched an Ecosystem Grant Program with $20 million in committed capital, funded through a combination of staking and ecosystem reserves. Confirmed ecosystem partners include XOCIETY, Pebble City, and The New Order (TNO).

Integral to the brand update, the native token LOKA will be rebranded to A2Z, exchanged at a 1:20 ratio. The A2Z token will retain all current utilities and introduce new functionality across the Arena-Z ecosystem, including: cross-game rewards, player identity and progression, and ecosystem-level governance and coordination. Binance and HTX have confirmed its support for the token migration, with additional exchanges to follow soon. The user swap portal will be available on July 28 at 03:00 UTC.

Arena-Z launched the first gaming-dedicated Layer 2 network on the OP Superchain, and is the only Korea-based gaming infrastructure project on both Binance and Coinbase. A recent partnership with NHN, one of South Korea’s largest gaming powerhouses, reinforces confidence from major institutions in the title as it targets global expansion.

Arena-Z is also introducing AZZY, a digital companion system designed to reflect and reward user activity across games and the platform. AZZY serves as an interactive representation of a user’s engagement, gradually evolving through gameplay and participation. A starter version of AZZY will be available at launch via the Arena-Z website.

Originally launched in 2020, League of Kingdoms was one of the earliest blockchain games to achieve global scale, reaching 150,000 daily active users across 210+ countries. The project is backed by leading institutional investors including a16z crypto, Hashed, YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs), Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital), YGG, and more.
