A new blockchain platform that aims to reduce supply chain friction both inside and outside of Dubai has been introduced by Dubai Customs.
According to a statement released by Dubai Media Office on July 8, the blockchain solution was introduced as a part of a larger plan to solidify Dubai's status as a preeminent "smart" metropolis.
"Our goal is to establish Dubai as a worldwide center for transportation and commerce," stated Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation. "This innovation supports that vision."
