Moore Threads Unveils High-Performance AI and Gaming Chips to Rival Nvidia

Moore Threads Technology, a semiconductor company based in China, has developed two brand new chips named 'Huashan' for Artificial Intelligent training and inferences and 'Lushan' for video gaming. These chips are built on its new generation architecture and are engineered to compete with NVIDIA and AMD. James Zhang, CEO of Moore Threads Technology, explained that Huashan chip outperforms NVIDIA's Hopper series and is close in overall performance to the recently announced Blackwell series.

Edison Secures $70M to Advance Autonomous AI Scientist Platform

Edison, a branch of FutureHouse, that operates across San Francisco, California, has announced about a seed investment round of $70 million at a valuation of approximately $250 million. Edison is researching to develop Kosmos, an autonomous AI scientist platform, that offers a combination of literature review, data analysis, hypothesis and experiment creation for rapid supply in biological and chemical research.
