Realme has increased the prices of several smartphones in India, with select models from its Realme 16 series and C-series lineup becoming more expensive. The revised prices came into effect from August 18. The move follows similar price hikes by OnePlus, Oppo and Vivo in recent days.
According to a communication reportedly sent by Realme to its retail partners and shared by tipster Sanju Chaudhary on X, the company is implementing the price revisions driven by an ‘unavoidable increase in memory, chipset, and overall smartphone ecosystem costs’. Realme has not publicly commented on the changes yet.
The biggest increases are seen in the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G and Realme 16 Pro 5G, with selected variants now Rs. 4,000 more expensive than their previous retail price.
The Realme 16 Pro+, powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, now costs Rs. 53,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, up from Rs. 49,999. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are now priced at Rs. 55,999 and Rs. 58,999, respectively.
