Azarus And Stream Enter Strategic Partnership To Provide Interactive Experiences Across Streaming Services

Written By : IndustryTrends

The strategic collaboration will allow streamers, fans and content creators to engage in organic, interactive streams and get rewarded.

Web 3 streaming ecosystem Azarus announced its partnership with Stream, an open platform aiming to transform content engagement via interactive experiences, this week. The strategic collaboration aims to enhance rich interactive experiences across the metaverse, ensuring digital content creators and consumers forge a “meaningful engagement” across the platforms.

Additionally, the partnership will bring gamers, creators and fans under a unified ecosystem, allowing them to form loyal communities around streaming platforms. Alex Casassovici, CEO & Founder of Azarus, believes the partnership will massively influence the growth of his company, providing content creators and fans greater opportunities within the streaming industry.

“By fulfilling the vision of an open, permissionless, and distributed way to build interactive content for streams, Stream will provide greater opportunities for creators to engage their audience and for viewers to hang out and interact with like-minded fans,” Casassovici added. “We look forward to working with them to enhance digital content and help millions more discover the power of web3 streaming.”

As the inventor and patent pending holder of “interactive overlay” technology for streams, Azarus provides users with playable ads, shares revenue and values with viewers and creators, and rewards users for their participation on the platform. Since launch, the company has already disbursed over $2 million in rewards to viewers and content creators. Moreover, Azarus has partnered with some of the biggest streams on Twitch, including game releases like Assassin's Creed, Esports competitions like the Capcom Pro Tour, and shows like the Streamer Awards, scaling up to 500,000 concurrent players.

Azarus has raised capital from some of the biggest Web 3 gaming companies such as Animoca Brands, Galaxy Digital, and SVK Crypto, to enhance the streaming ecosystem. The acquisition of Azarus by Animoca Brands is a quest by the Web 3 gaming giant to introduce live streaming to metaverse worlds. Partnering with Stream brings the goal closer, providing new ways for fan engagement to flourish across an array of digital environments.

The partnership with Stream will see Azarus leverage its expertise, technology and business model to enhance streaming on Stream, as Alan Lau, Chief Business Officer at Animoca Brands explained.

“Their [Azarus] interactive overlay technology and extensive experience in delivering engaging, playable ads have revolutionized how audiences interact with digital content. With Azarus on board, we are confident that Stream will reach new heights, transforming the streaming landscape and creating exciting new opportunities for creators and their audiences,” Lau added.

Stream, on the other hand, will benefit from added utility for its users, expanding use cases beyond playable ads on Twitch. Via the partnership, Stream will connect streaming networks and provide an open foundation for interactive streams. With Stream working to onboard hundreds of top Esports streamers and creator communities, the partnership with Azarus will help the company unlock new ways for streamers to be rewarded for interacting with the platform and provide greater opportunities for community engagement.
