Overview:

  • Bitcoin trades near $79,660, up 1.1%, holding below resistance near $81,000.

  • Solana climbed 5.7% today, extending a run built on steady ETF inflows.

  • Kevin Warsh's first Jackson Hole keynote as Fed Chair remains today's key catalyst.

Bitcoin held a narrow range near $79,660 today, keeping most of its recent weekly advance intact. The token gained close to 7% over the past seven days on renewed liquidity optimism. Traders are now positioning ahead of Kevin Warsh's keynote at the Jackson Hole symposium.

The 2026 Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium runs through Saturday under the theme Financial Innovation: Implications for Payments and Policy. Warsh delivers his address this morning at 10 a.m. Eastern time. Solana stood out among majors today, while Bitcoin and Ethereum traded in a tighter, more cautious band.

Bitcoin Price Today

Bitcoin traded at $79,659.53, up 1.1% over the past 24 hours, per live CoinGecko data. Its market capitalization stood at $1.60 trillion. Trading volume over 24 hours reached $36.62 billion. Bitcoin has gained 6.9% over the past seven days.

Below is today's Daily Quote roundup from leading crypto market analysts on Bitcoin's near-term structure.

Mudrex: ETF Streak Extends Into Jackson Hole Week

Prateek Gupta, Head of Business at Mudrex, said Bitcoin is holding above the $80,000 level after briefly breaking $81,000. Nvidia's latest quarterly results supported a risk-on mood, while institutional demand sustained the rally.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs logged an eighth straight day of net inflows, bringing the eight-day total to $2.8 billion. US PCE inflation rose to 3.7% in July. Gupta placed $81,000 as the level to reclaim, warning that a hawkish surprise from Warsh could send prices down to $75,000.

CoinSwitch: $80K to $82K Marks the Key Resistance Band

CoinSwitch Markets Desk said BTC is nearing a resistance zone where nearly 8% of its supply was previously acquired. Around 5% of total supply sits near $80,000 alone, meaning some investors may sell as price returns to their entry point.

The desk flagged the 50-week moving average near $81,081 as an important technical marker. BTC has traded below that line since November 2025, and past recoveries above it were followed by sustained upside moves.

Delta Exchange: Rejection Zone Still Defines the Structure

Riya Sehgal, Research Analyst at Delta Exchange, said Bitcoin's move back toward $80,000 looks more like a test of conviction than a clean breakout. BTC holds above its four-hour moving average, defending the $79,000 area. Spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted over $232 million on August 26, while Ethereum ETFs drew nearly $192 million.

The next session's Bitcoin ETF flow turned modestly negative, showing demand is improving but not yet a one-way trend. Ethereum needs to clear the $2,520 to $2,560 zone for stronger upside momentum.

WazirX: Technical Setup Leans Bullish Into the Keynote

Nischal Shetty, Founder of WazirX, said Bitcoin maintains market leadership with 59.8% dominance, while Ethereum accounts for 11.2%. US equities reflected a risk-on mood, led by a 1.57% Nasdaq rise and a 0.72% S&P 500 gain. Crypto often benefits when technology stocks rise and volatility declines.

Shetty noted 13 of 15 moving-average indicators show a Buy signal, with immediate support clustered between $76,621 and $77,257 and resistance building near $80,555.

Crypto News Today: Top Headlines Impacting Prices

Warsh Set to Deliver First Jackson Hole Keynote as Fed Chair

Kevin Warsh takes the podium at 10 a.m. Eastern time today for his debut Jackson Hole address. He called the speech a blank page during his July press conference, giving markets little forward guidance so far.

Analysts expect his tone on inflation and financial conditions to matter more than any single line. A dovish read could lift Bitcoin toward $81,000, while a hawkish tilt risks a slide back toward $75,000.

Bitcoin's August Rally Traces Back to Treasury Buyback Move

Bitcoin's climb from near $64,000 to above $79,000 followed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's announcement of expanded bond buybacks. That move pushed yields and the dollar lower earlier this month.

The shift revived the debasement trade, where investors favor scarce assets during currency weakness. Bitcoin posted its second-strongest weekly gain since early 2021, and traders now watch whether Warsh extends or unwinds that liquidity backdrop.

Solana Network Activity Keeps Setting Fresh Records

Solana processed more than 1.3 billion non-vote transactions last week, marking a new weekly high for the network. Spot Solana ETFs pulled in over $33 million in a single day, their strongest inflow since December.

The token has now topped major centralized exchanges in weekly decentralized spot trading volume for nine consecutive weeks. Traders point to rising real-world asset tokenization on the chain as a structural demand driver beyond short-term speculation.

Stablecoin Market Tops $230 Billion as Banks Race to Tokenize

The stablecoin market has grown past $230 billion in outstanding tokens under the GENIUS Act's new federal issuance framework. JPMorgan is already running dollar-pegged deposit tokens on a public blockchain.

Jackson Hole's theme this year places payments and tokenized deposits directly into the Fed's policy conversation. Analysts say the timing links Treasury demand with bank funding conditions more tightly than in prior years.

SEC Advances Token Rules While Institutional Deals Multiply

The SEC has proposed a Regulation Crypto Assets framework covering token fundraising, alongside continued reviews of new exchange-traded products this week. Evernorth cleared an SEC filing hurdle for a Nasdaq-listed XRP treasury vehicle.

DTCC also listed shares for a new Polkadot staking ETF under a fresh ticker. Together, these moves signal steady regulatory groundwork building beneath this week's price action, even as headlines stay focused on Jackson Hole.

September Rate Hike Odds Stay Stuck Near One-in-Three

Futures markets continue pricing roughly a one-in-three chance of a September rate increase, holding steady from recent sessions. A divided July policy meeting saw three regional Fed presidents favor a rate hike.

That 9-3 dissent has kept traders cautious about assuming a clear dovish path. Warsh's remarks today carry added weight given how closely futures pricing already reflects a split policy committee.

Investor and Market Outlook

Bitcoin's next move now depends on how markets read Kevin Warsh's tone at today's keynote. A neutral or dovish message could open a path back toward resistance near $81,000. A hawkish surprise risks a pullback toward the mid-$70,000 support zone flagged by several trading desks.

Solana has built the strongest case among majors today, backed by record network activity and steady ETF demand. Traders should track the keynote's language, ongoing ETF flow reports, and September rate positioning closely through the rest of the week.
