Mumbai, India, 9 September 2026: Mastercard today unveiled World Select, a new premium card program designed for India’s rapidly expanding higher-spending consumer segment. The program brings together a curated portfolio of travel, dining, wellness, entertainment and lifestyle benefits, enabling issuing partners to deliver differentiated value to their most engaged customers.

Mastercard Economics Institute insights indicate that India will add more than 17 million high-income households by 2030, underscoring the rise of a consumer segment seeking elevated experiences and greater lifestyle value. Tailored to meet these evolving expectations, World Select combines meaningful local collaborations with Mastercard’s elevated, globally connected benefits and experiences.

Introduced at Global Fintech Fest 2026 alongside RBL Bank, City Union Bank and Jammu & Kashmir Bank, World Select features an ecosystem that includes AJIO Luxe, Tattva Spa, ITC Hotels, Radisson Hotels and Novotel Hotels, alongside travel, dining, entertainment and digital lifestyle brands. The program is designed to provide cardholders with meaningful everyday value, while helping issuers strengthen customer acquisition, engagement and loyalty.

Cardholders can access a range of sought-after privileges, including complimentary stays at select ITC Hotels properties, up to ₹4,000 off a first visa application through Atlys, travel insurance with the flexibility to cancel for any reason twice a year, and dining offers of up to 50% across more than 1,000 EazyDiner partner restaurants. These benefits complement Mastercard’s broader premium portfolio, including the Culinary Club, India Golf Program, hotel loyalty partnerships and the iconic Priceless platform.

World Select cardholders also gain access to The Mastercard Collection, Mastercard’s curated portfolio of premium travel, dining and entertainment experiences. Benefits include priority access to sought-after restaurants, exclusive entertainment privileges, branded airport security Fast Track lanes, and access to more than 1,350 airport lounges across nearly 150 destinations worldwide. Designed to elevate every journey, the program delivers meaningful value and memorable experiences, whether cardholders are at home or travelling abroad.

Gautam Aggarwal, President, India & South Asia, Mastercard, said, “We are seeing a growing segment of consumers who are spending more intentionally, prioritizing convenience and meaningful experiences over material possessions. These consumers are looking for greater value both at home and when they travel, with benefits that seamlessly complement their lifestyles. World Select has been designed to meet these evolving expectations through a carefully curated blend of elevated local benefits, global privileges and memorable experiences.”

World Select marks another step in strengthening Mastercard’s premium offerings in India, underscoring the company’s commitment to helping issuers address the evolving expectations of today’s consumers. The program will be expanded through additional issuing partners and new benefits in the months ahead, further enhancing the value proposition for cardholders.
