Control Timeline & History : Delete or disable your Google Maps Timeline to avoid logging sensitive information about your travel history! Google Maps Timeline, i.e., Location History, tracks and logs your movement and movements to the places you visit, putting together one of the most detailed maps of your personal travel history. 

Disable Location-specific Ads : Turn off personalized ads linked to your location, under Ad personalization in your Google account. Location-based ads may be delivered to you even after disabling ad personalization, as your IP address is used to determine your general location. For a more comprehensive protection of your location, you should visit My Ad Center and tweak your activity controls to set preferences on using location info for ads.
