Zerohash Launches AUTH Crypto Transfer Service Amid Pending US Bank Charter Application

Zerohash has launched AUTH, a new service that allows users to transfer cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and tokenized assets without copying wallet addresses or selecting blockchain networks.

The Chicago-based company announced the product at the Money20/20 USA conference in Las Vegas on October 19, 2026. The launch comes as Zerohash awaits a federal decision on its revised national trust bank charter application.

Linked Accounts Replace Wallet Address Entry

Under AUTH, customers choose a supported exchange account or personal wallet inside an app that offers the service. They then sign in, complete security checks and approve a transfer. Zerohash handles the blockchain routing in the background. The process keeps transfers tied to accounts that users have connected, without entering addresses.

Zerohash says the product covers direct crypto transfers and account funding. Digital securities, including tokenized stocks, are also supported. Companies using AUTH choose which accounts, assets, networks and transfer types customers can access. Platforms may also set minimum and maximum transaction limits. The firm's developer guidance says an account appearing on the supported list does not mean every transaction type is available.

Four Institutions and Hundreds of Wallets Listed

Zerohash's AUTH directory lists 639 digital wallets and four institutional account connections. Coinbase, Robinhood and Gemini show live status, while Kraken appears in beta. Supported wallet names include MetaMask and Phantom. Connection availability varies by participating application.

Ryan Beaudry, who previously served as executive vice president of global product and operations for open finance at Mastercard, will lead AUTH as general manager.

“Onchain rails scale when users stop thinking about the underlying technology,” Beaudry said in the launch announcement.

Wallet Operators Discuss Transfer Checks

Alex LaPrade, chief executive of crypto wallet Rainbow, said sending funds from brokerage or exchange accounts to personal wallets has often required “double and triple checking the wallet address” and making small test transfers. In Zerohash’s announcement, he described AUTH as a way to connect wallets to other platforms through a shorter approval process.

The product operates through Zerohash software used by financial companies rather than through a separate transfer app for all customers. Zerohash provides custody, compliance and settlement services to businesses that integrate digital assets. Its clients include Morgan Stanley's E*Trade. According to the company, it operates regulated entities across 51 US jurisdictions, alongside operations in other regions.

Federal Trust Bank Filing Faces Review

Zerohash submitted its first national trust bank application in March. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency returned that filing in July without deciding whether the company qualified for a charter. Zerohash called the move an administrative step and said it would seek approval for a narrower range of activities. The OCC now lists a new application received on August 19 as pending.

The National Community Reinvestment Coalition challenged the application in a September 28 letter to the OCC. The group asked regulators to examine management roles, unfilled senior positions and allegations in a former compliance officer's lawsuit. Those allegations remain unproven claims, and the coalition requested further fact-finding rather than reporting a regulatory finding of misconduct.

Zerohash's proposed trust bank would provide custody and other digital asset services under federal supervision if the OCC grants approval. The application does not change the company's current permission to provide services under existing licenses. The OCC has not announced a decision on the revised request.
