XRP Ledger has recorded 7,934 new wallets in a single day, marking its sixth-highest daily total of 2026 despite continued price weakness.
Blockchain analytics firm Santiment reported the increase on November 2, following the USD 6.3 billion Binance hack. The firm suggested the security breach may have encouraged more cryptocurrency holders to create personal wallets.
However, Santiment has not confirmed a direct connection between the attack and the increase in XRP addresses.
Santiment reported that XRP Ledger added 7,934 new wallets on November 1, despite relatively quiet Sunday trading activity.
The figure exceeded the network's recent daily average of around 3,500 new accounts, according to research. XRP also recorded 4,772 new wallets on October 31.
“$XRP network growth is accelerating fast,” Santiment stated in its November 2 update.
The firm suggested that the Binance breach “may have pushed more users toward self-custody and fresh wallets.”
Self-custody allows cryptocurrency holders to control their own assets instead of relying on exchanges. However, new wallet creation does not necessarily mean an equal number of new investors joined the network.
Existing users can create multiple addresses for transfers, storage or business operations. Therefore, the reported increase does not establish how many new individuals entered the XRP ecosystem.
The wallet increase followed the October 29 Binance security breach, which affected several cryptocurrencies, including XRP.
Blockchain investigators identified transfers of approximately 233.46 million XRP from five Binance wallets to an attacker-controlled address. The transfers occurred within about four minutes.
On November 2, investigators tracked another movement involving approximately 233.45 million XRP. The attacker redistributed the stolen holdings after leaving them largely untouched for nearly 80 hours.
These transactions occurred after the November 1 wallet-growth figures that Santiment reported.
Meanwhile, Binance confirmed that it had replaced around 95% of the assets affected by the breach.
The exchange also published proof-of-reserves verification covering XRP and nine other cryptocurrencies. Binance said customers could independently verify that their balances had at least 1:1 backing.
Binance has gradually restored withdrawals and maintained that the company will cover customers' losses.
Despite rising wallet creation, XRP traded near USD 1.25 on November 3, with prices showing limited recovery.
Santiment identified USD 1.30 as the next level to watch for stronger upward momentum. However, its assessment depends on continued network growth.
The firm stated that XRP's outlook would improve if daily wallet creation remained above 4,000 while prices recovered above USD 1.30.
Conversely, a decline below USD 1.20, alongside fewer than 3,000 new wallets daily, would weaken that outlook.
Separately, historical price analysis placed XRP's previous record daily closing price at USD 3.55 in July 2025. Returning to that level from USD 1.25 would require a gain of approximately 184%.
However, past recovery periods do not establish when XRP might revisit its previous high.
For now, XRP continues trading near USD 1.25 while network activity increases. Whether the latest wallet growth continues or translates into stronger prices remains uncertain.
