XRP Price Today: Price Holds Above $1 as CLARITY Act Delay Sparks Market Risks

XRP trades just above $1 after the CLARITY Act vote moved to September. Although analysts warn of a possible decline toward $0.85, renewed inflows into Bitwise and Franklin Templeton XRP ETFs provide separate demand during the market correction.

XRP trades near $1.04 after the US Senate postponed action on the CLARITY Act until September. The token lost ground after the delay, while Bitcoin held near $64,000 and Ether traded around $1,900.

The price now sits close to the closely watched $1 level. ChatGPT did not say that a break below that level was certain. Its response said, “Not necessarily, but the risk has increased.”

CLARITY Act Delay Pressures XRP Price

XRP has reacted more sharply than several large cryptocurrencies during the legislative setback. CoinMarketCap data indicated a 5% weekly decline, the weakest result among major tokens. Bitcoin finished that period nearly flat as spot ETF demand supported its market.

The bill would establish federal rules for classifying digital assets and divide oversight between US regulators. It would not name XRP as a commodity. However, broader market rules could give exchanges, banks, and fund issuers clearer operating standards.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune filed cloture on the motion to proceed with H.R. 3633 early Saturday. The filing placed the bill into the Senate’s formal floor process. Senators return on September 14, according to the Senate Daily Press.

The expected procedural vote needs 60 votes to limit debate and move the measure forward. Reuters reported that Republicans need Democratic support to reach that threshold. Ethics rules and provisions covering stablecoin rewards still divide lawmakers.

XRP Price Faces a Narrow Support Test

XRP traded at $1.04 on Sunday, up 0.49% over 24 hours, CoinMarketCap data showed. Its market value stood near $65 billion, while daily trading volume reached about $641 million. The token stayed only four cents above $1.

A fall below $1 is possible, but current data do not make it unavoidable. Price direction also depends on Bitcoin, market liquidity, and macroeconomic releases. A wider market decline could add selling pressure even without another legislative setback.

Crypto Patel expects another 20% to 40% decline before a durable reversal. The analyst identified $0.85 to $0.65 as a possible long-term accumulation area. Those figures represent one analyst’s chart-based forecast, not confirmed price targets.

The same forecast lists $3, $5, $7, and above $10 as longer-term targets after a bullish reversal. XRP would need to recover its broken market structure before those levels enter focus.

XRP ETF Inflows Offer Separate Support

Meanwhile, US spot XRP ETFs recorded $3.45 million in net inflows on August 6. Bitwise attracted $2.89 million, while Franklin Templeton received about $561,560. Other XRP funds reported no net movement that session.

Those purchases followed $3.58 million in withdrawals one day earlier, the category’s first net outflow since July 8. Cumulative net inflows reached $1.51 billion. Bitwise led with $510.21 million; Canary and Franklin Templeton ranked next. XRP ETF flow report

ETF inflows create regulated demand for XRP exposure, but one positive session cannot confirm a price reversal. Sustained allocations would provide a clearer measure of institutional demand before treating the bounce as a broader demand shift. Trading volume and the $1 support level provide additional short-term signals.

For now, the CLARITY Act delay postpones a regulatory catalyst rather than ending the bill. The September vote concerns debate on the motion to proceed, not final passage. XRP traders will watch that process alongside ETF flows and market conditions.
