Xiaomi has launched Redmi Turbo 5 series in China. The unveiling took place on January 29, 2026. The new series focuses on speed, battery life, and strong performance. Xiaomi targets users who want powerful phones at a fair price.

The Redmi Turbo 5 series includes two models: Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max. Both phones feature Android 16 and HyperOS 3. The software offers a smooth user experience and improved system control.

Powerful Performance and Hardware

Redmi Turbo 5 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The chip supports fast gaming and smooth multitasking. Xiaomi pairs it with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Storage options go up to 512GB. Apps open quickly, and data moves faster.

The phone has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display. The screen presents vibrant colors, intense contrast, and precise visual detail. The system supports high refresh rates, which enables users to experience fluid scrolling. The product has an elegant appearance, with a metal frame and a glass back. The phone is available in two colors: white and mint green.

Battery and Cooling Highlights

Battery life stands out on the Redmi Turbo 5. The phone packs a 7,560mAh battery. It supports 100W fast wired charging. The device also supports 27W reverse wired charging. This feature helps charge other gadgets. The large battery supports extended use without frequent charging.

Xiaomi adds a new cooling system to handle heat. The 3D ice-sealed circulation cooling pump improves heat control. The company claims better cooling during gaming and heavy use. This helps keep performance stable.

The camera setup includes a 50MP main rear camera. An extra lens supports wide shots. The front camera uses a 20MP sensor. These cameras handle daily photos and videos with ease.

Redmi Turbo 5 Max and Connectivity

Redmi Turbo 5 Max offers higher power. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. This processor is designed for advanced users and gamers. The phone features a larger OLED display for immersive viewing.

Battery capacity defines the Turbo 5 Max. The phone packs a massive 9,000mAh battery. This is one of the largest batteries in a Redmi phone. Fast charging support remains available for quick top-ups.

Both models support strong protection. They carry IP66, IP68, and IP69K ratings. These ratings protect against dust and water. Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB-C.

Pricing for the Redmi Turbo 5 starts near CNY 2,000. The Turbo 5 Max costs more due to stronger hardware. Xiaomi has not shared global launch details yet.

The Redmi Turbo 5 series shows Xiaomi’s push for powerful mid-range phones. Large batteries and strong chips define this launch.
