On Sunday, Xiaomi unveiled its latest flagship series, Xiaomi 15, at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona. This revelation includes both the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and the Chinese company states that these devices are set to launch in India on March 11, 2025. The highlight of the announcement? It’s the camera quality of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Xiaomi’s collaboration with German optics brand Leica for an enhanced camera experience has stolen the show.

Cutting-Edge Display and Performance

With each passing day, smartphones are incorporating more advanced features to provide users with the best experience possible. Once again, Xiaomi’s flagship series models highlighted this part, with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra featuring a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200x1440 pixels, offering an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.

This feature ensures smooth scrolling and optimal battery efficiency. The best part of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is that its display boasts a peak brightness of 3200 nits, which effectively enhances visibility under direct sunlight.

Aside from that, these devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, combined with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. Therefore, seamless multitasking is guaranteed in these devices.

Leica-Tuned Camera System

The feature that has stolen the limelight on Sunday is the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, featuring a Leica-tuned quad-camera setup. As per the announcements, the model will come with a 50MP primary sensor (Sony LYT-900), an f/1.63 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide lens (Samsung JN5), a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens (Samsung HP9) to offer a 4.3x optical zoom.

The rear camera is going to have a 32MP sensor to provide users a satisfying experience of capturing selfies and video calling. As the reports say, all the rear cameras of the device will support 4K video recording at 60 fps.

Finally, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s battery backup is something that has impressed gadget enthusiasts worldwide. This model will come with a 5410mAh battery, which will support 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. This will provide users with a rapid charging experience, reducing downtime.

Conclusion

As the launch is approaching, consumers are getting excited to know more about these devices. Anticipations are going wild about the price of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, hinting that these devices that blend advanced display technology, robust performance, and a sophisticated camera system will proceed at nearly 1 lakh. This anticipation came from the price of 15 Ultra in Europe, which is EUR 1,499.99 (roughly Rs 1,36,150) for the 16GB/512GB variant. However, exact data can only be given when the device is officially launched in India.
