Microsoft has announced the next group of games leaving Xbox Game Pass. Subscribers can access them for free until July 31. After that, the games will no longer be available through the subscription unless players decide to buy them.

The seven games leaving the service are Crusader Kings 3, My Friendly Neighborhood, Back to the Dawn, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, Rain World, Celeste, and Sniper Elite: Resistance. As always, Game Pass members can purchase these games at a discount before they leave.

Among them, Crusader King 3 and Celeste score 90 and 92 on OpenCritic as per player reviews. Thus, it’s the last opportunity for Xbox gamers to grab these two titles on discount before they leave the service.

More Games Will Soon Take Their Place

Games leave Xbox Game Pass every month, but new ones also join the service regularly. Microsoft has not shared the complete list for the coming months, but more additions are expected soon.

The company usually adds a mix of Xbox first-party games, indie titles, and games from other publishers. Though the full list for the coming months hasn’t been shared yet, a cooperative detective horror game, Shift at Midnight, will join the service on July 22. Halo: Campaign Evolved will follow on July 28. More announcements will likely come over the next few weeks.

Strategy Fans Still Have Good Choices

Many players will miss Crusader Kings 3, but Game Pass still offers several strategy games worth trying.

Age of Empires IV is a great choice for players who enjoy managing armies and growing an empire. Age of Mythology: Retold offers a similar strategy experience with mythological creatures and gods. If Civilization VI is available in your region, it is another strong option for fans who enjoy careful planning and empire-building.
