WPP Media has signed a new partnership with Indian AI startup Kily to strengthen its commerce planning business in India. As part of the deal, WPP Media will use Kily's AI platform to help brands understand shopping behavior, study customer data, and plan marketing campaigns more effectively. Kily develops AI agents that manage commerce operations including product listings, pricing, and advertising across marketplaces and quick-commerce platforms.
The collaboration will introduce an Integrated Commerce Planner, which will combine data from different commerce platforms to help brands plan, activate, and measure their investments. While speaking about the partnership, Co-founder and CEO, Kily, Sankalp Malhotra revealed, “Kily is deeply focused on bringing autonomy to commerce management. India's fragmented multi-marketplace landscape makes a solution like ours critical for judgment, decision-making and outcomes at scale.” He further added, “Working with WPP Media, we are enabling brands to respond faster, operate more efficiently and unlock stronger performance across quick commerce and marketplaces.”
Ashwin Padmanabhan, COO, WPP Media, South Asia, stated, “Our Integrated Commerce Planner developed in partnership with Kily brings these moving parts into a more connected system where planning, activation, and measurement are continuously aligned.”

The deal is another sign that Indian AI startups are getting noticed by large global companies. Instead of spending years building new AI tools from scratch, many agencies now prefer working with startups that already have working products and local market knowledge.
India's AI startup ecosystem has grown quickly over the past few years. Many young companies are building practical AI products for marketing, finance, healthcare, and retail. As demand continues to rise, more global firms are expected to partner with local AI companies instead of developing every solution on their own.
