WhatsApp's AI Voice: Choose Your Chatbot

Meta AI to Offer UK and US Accents, with More Languages on the Horizon

WhatsApp is working on a nice new feature where users will be able to choose Meta AI voices for their chatbot.

With the new feature, users will be able to select different voices, including voices with UK and US accents, to fine-tune interactions with Meta AI.

Selection of Voice by Meta AI: UK and US Accents First

During the early days of WhatsApp's Meta AI voice, it will give users three different UK voices and two US voices that have different pitches and tones.

The user will be able to choose a voice they relate more to personally, with their favorite accent or tone that would go well with how they would converse. Although the release date is not announced, these voices are expected to roll out as the voice mode launches.

Public Figure Voices Might Be Added

Beyond regional accents, WhatsApp plans to add voices of popular public figures to the options for Meta AI voices. Although they are not announcing the names, this will make it possible for users to converse with AI in the voice of at least some figure they look up to or draw inspiration from. This will make the experience with AI more interactive and appealing to the users.

Future Updates: More Languages Coming

The first release of the Meta AI voice feature in its debut will be in English voices. In future updates, WhatsApp will expand on the number of languages it currently supports. It could add popular languages like Hindi, hence making more users of WhatsApp around the world converse with Meta AI in their native language.

Continuous AI evolution of WhatsApp

This new Meta AI voice feature is part of the continuous improvement that WhatsApp undertakes intending to make the user experience even more fantastic with AI. First, WhatsApp integrated Meta AI into the chat interface, whereby users could easily converse with the chatbot on everything from questions to creating images. Now, WhatsApp is going one step further with changes that allow voice options to be personalized, making AI interactions even more immersive and user-friendly.
