India's SME primary market is set for a busy week, with five initial public offerings (IPOs) open for subscription. Vectras Enprocon, Johnsoncab Electricals, HGS India and Maxwell Engineering opened on October 30, while Vedant Poly Fabs entered the market on November 2.
With four issues closing on November 3 and Vedant Poly Fabs remaining open until November 4, investor demand over the next two days will be crucial. Subscription trends, investor participation, and the broader market sentiment will help determine how these offerings fare at the close.
Maxwell Engineering has emerged as the strongest performer in the group so far. Its IPO, priced at Rs 150-158 per share, was subscribed 4.66 times, with retail investors showing particularly strong interest. Its reported grey market premium (GMP) of around Rs 70 also reflects positive unofficial sentiment. The issue closes on November 3, and investors will closely watch the final subscription numbers.
HGS India has received a measured response, with its Rs 34.56 crore IPO subscribed approximately 1.6 times. Qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) have driven demand, subscribing 4.41 times their reserved portion. However, retail and non-institutional participation remains comparatively weak. Its reported GMP of Rs 30 indicates positive listing expectations.
Vectras Enprocon has received bids for approximately 1.1-1.2 times its offering. Institutional demand has helped the issue cross full subscription, although non-institutional participation remains below one time. No reliable GMP quotation has emerged so far, making its final bidding response particularly important.
Johnsoncab Electricals has recorded a subscription of around 1.1 times. Its reported GMP of Rs 5 suggests relatively modest listing expectations. The Rs 56.02 crore issue will close on November 3, leaving investors another day to assess the offering.
Vedant Poly Fabs opened on November 2 with a price band of Rs 88-94. Early subscription data showed limited participation, with exchange figures still developing. Its reported pre-listing GMP of around Rs 15 has attracted attention, but actual demand during the remaining bidding period will matter more.

Maxwell Engineering currently leads the group, while HGS India has institutional backing. The closing sessions on November 3 and 4 will determine whether the remaining issues attract stronger demand. Investors should consider valuations and company fundamentals alongside subscription figures. GMP remains an unofficial indicator and does not guarantee listing gains.
