Talk of a possible Nobel Peace Prize nomination for US President Donald Trump has spread across politics, media, and crypto markets. Several leaders have publicly urged recognition of his diplomacy in Ukraine and the Middle East. At the same time, the Norwegian Nobel bodies have stressed that the Nobel status cannot be transferred between people.

Nobel Peace Prize Talk Draws New Attention

The latest wave of discussion followed reports that Venezuela’s opposition leader, María Corina Machado, handed Trump her Nobel Peace Prize medal. After that gesture, the Nobel bodies clarified a key point. A laureate may give away the physical medal, but the prize recognition stays with the official winner.

Separately, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former Polish president Lech Wałęsa described sharply split views of Trump’s Russia approach. In an interview, Wałęsa said observers could see Trump as a “traitor” or as an “exceptional” strategist trying to avoid nuclear escalation. He added that it remains too early to judge whether Trump would deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.

Ethereum Meme Token ‘N4T’ Markets Itself as On-Chain Support

The political narrative has also moved on-chain through an Ethereum-based meme token called N4T, short for ‘Nobel for Trump.’ Public project materials and market trackers indicated a capped supply of 1 billion tokens. The project also says it burned about 98% of the supply soon after launch to create scarcity.

Project backers have framed the token as a visible, tradeable signal of support rather than an official campaign tool. N4T’s co-founder Erik Amirbai Lang said the goal centers on tokenizing support and turning sentiment into measurable participation. He also said such tokens often lack institutional ties, but communities still use them to coordinate around headlines.

N4T’s promoters also point to mechanics meant to reassure holders. They say the team locked liquidity for up to 12 months and built DAO governance for treasury decisions. The project site also describes “one token, one vote,” and it claims token purchases represent votes backing Trump’s Nobel push.

Polymarket Prices ‘Nobel Peace Prize 2026’ Odds Near 10%-11%

Prediction markets have added another layer of speculation, separate from formal Nobel procedures. On Polymarket’s “Nobel Peace Prize Winner 2026” market, Trump has recently traded around the 10% to 11% range. The market lists several other names at similar levels, and prices move as traders buy and sell shares.

The Nobel Prize process, however, runs on strict confidentiality and closed deliberations. The Nobel bodies have emphasized permanence and limits around Nobel recognition, including that prizes cannot be shared or transferred once awarded. As a result, tokens and prediction markets can display public interest, but they do not change how the committee selects laureates.
