The Blood of Dawnwalker reached a major sales milestone. Rebel Wolves officially revealed that the game passed 1 million copies worldwide in 48 hours after its official launch. The game was released on September 3, 2026, and the initial progress was a bit slow. However, picking up the pace, the RPG has made its place among renowned titles that have achieved massive sales numbers within a few days.
Currently, the game is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. This is a big start for Rebel Wolves, as Dawnwalker is the studio's first game and a new franchise. The team includes former CD Projekt Red developers.
The game takes players on a dark fantasy adventure set in a fictional valley in the Carpathian Mountains. As the game progresses, players will explore 14th-century Europe and fight as a human during the day and as a vampire at night. Notably, the vampire powers are activated only at night. Time also plays an important role in the game. On Steam, the game reached a peak of 78,188 players, showing strong interest from PC gamers.

The record of selling 1 million copies in two days gives Rebel Wolves a strong start. The studio has managed to attract players with a new name that has no link to any established franchise.
The unexpected result could also help the team plan more games in the same world and make a franchise like Final Fantasy or God of War. Rebel Wolves has not announced a sequel yet; still, strong sales give the studio a good reason to keep building on Dawnwalker's world.
Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who directed The Witcher 3, is a co-founder of Rebel Wolves and served as game director on Dawnwalker. Thus, more interesting games may come from the studio, if not this one franchise.
