Microsoft is preparing to showcase the Surface Laptop Ultra at its October 7 event in San Francisco. Hours before the event, a new leak has revealed possible pricing and hardware configurations for the premium laptop.

According to tipster Roland Quandt, the Surface Laptop Ultra could come in two Nvidia RTX Spark configurations. The reported pricing starts below USD 3,000, or roughly Rs 2.89 lakh, and could exceed USD 7,000, or around Rs 6.75 lakh, for higher-end variants. Microsoft did not confirm these prices.

Surface Laptop Ultra Specifications Tipped

A leaked channel-partner listing reportedly points to a 15-inch Surface Laptop Ultra with Nvidia RTX Spark S2 and S3 options. The S2 is expected to serve as the entry configuration, while the S3 could target users seeking higher computing and AI performance.

The listing mentions 24GB, 32GB, 48GB and 64GB memory configurations. It also indicates 1TB SSD storage and Windows 11 Pro across the listed models. Platinum and Dark Steel colour options are reportedly planned.

However, Microsoft   already revealed that the platform can scale to as much as 128GB of unified memory. The top-end RTX Spark configuration is expected to combine a 20-core Arm CPU with a 6,144-core Blackwell GPU. Microsoft is targeting demanding AI workloads, including the ability to run large models locally.

Mini-LED Display and AI Focus

The Surface Laptop Ultra is expected to feature a 15-inch mini-LED PixelSense Ultra touchscreen. The display reportedly offers up to 2,000 nits of peak HDR brightness and a 3:2 aspect ratio.

Microsoft is positioning the laptop as a high-performance machine for AI developers, creators and professional users. The RTX Spark platform can deliver up to one petaflop of AI compute, giving the device a significant focus on local AI processing.
