The HD 480 Pro headphones use a closed-back over-ear design for noise-isolating recording sessions. The headphones feature a 38mm dynamic driver system for a neutral sound without any tonal coloration. The headphones provide a sound output range of 3 Hz to 28,700 Hz.

Engineers can analyze all frequency ranges and discover all high, low, and mid-frequency sounds. The 130-ohm impedance makes it suitable for professional audio interfaces and studio setups. Sennheiser has focused on accurate bass response. This helps professionals make better mixing decisions without an artificial low-end boost.

The audio company further explained that it designed the HD 480 Pro for extended use. The ergonomic build distributes pressure evenly across the head. The earcups include softer zones to improve comfort for users wearing glasses. The headphones weigh around 272 grams without the cable.

Sennheiser Market Positioning Ahead

The HD 480 Pro comes with a detachable cable that can connect from either side. It includes a 3-metre coiled cable designed to reduce handling noise in studio environments. Sennheiser has also added Braille markings on the earcups to improve accessibility. The package also includes replaceable earpads for extended product usage.

The closed-back design provides passive noise isolation. Best for sound engineers to concentrate on their critical audio work. The HD 480 Pro sits in the premium segment of studio headphones, competing with Audio-Technica and Beyerdynamic.

Sennheiser positions this model as a professional tool that users should not treat as an everyday listening device. Moreover, the company prioritizes three main elements, including accuracy, durability, and comfort.
