Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch its next-gen flagship, Galaxy S26 Ultra, early next year. It is worth noting that the tech giant has not yet made an official announcement regarding the phone's release. However, early leaks suggest the device will feature significant improvements in performance, camera, and design.
According to reports, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may be released on January 28, 2026, alongside the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge. The starting model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is likely to cost Rs 1,34,999 in India.
Leaks suggest that Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 6.9-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,000 nits, ensuring an even brighter, smoother viewing experience. The new offering from Samsung is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip as the core processor, along with LPDDR5X RAM for faster task switching, and 256GB of storage.
It can come with a 5,000mAh battery with improved fast charging, enabling longer use and faster recharging, a significant upgrade for heavy users.
Samsung will reportedly launch a redesigned quad-camera setup, headed by a 200MP primary Sony sensor. It will be joined by two 50MP lenses for ultra-wide and periscope telephoto photos, and a 10MP telephoto lens for zoom photography. On the front, a 12MP selfie shooter is expected to handle video calls and self-portraits.

The new design is said to come with a camera island layout that replaces the floating lens design of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The tech giant can also enhance the in-hand feel through rounded edges and an even flatter screen for better grip.
Samsung might introduce two innovations, Color-on-Encapsulation (CoE) display technology and a ‘Flex Magic Pixel’ privacy screen, which darkens the screen from the side angles to avoid prying eyes.
