Rockstar Games has released the GTA 6 Extended Look on YouTube, allowing viewers to watch without a Netflix subscription. The video reached the platform after its initial screening on Netflix on August 27.
The preview runs for nearly half an hour and follows Jason and Lucia through missions and everyday interactions. It also shows optional activities and locations across Vice City, alongside footage of combat, driving and the surrounding environment.
According to Rockstar's release schedule, Netflix premiered the presentation at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. The YouTube release followed at 9 p.m., ending a six-hour period when only Netflix subscribers could access the video.
For viewers in Britain and India, the YouTube release fell on August 28. It arrived at 2 a.m. British Summer Time and 6:30 a.m. Indian Standard Time on the following calendar day.
Viewers can find the complete presentation through Rockstar's official YouTube upload. The developer also hosts the footage on its GTA 6 website, which includes the game's earlier trailers.
Meanwhile, Netflix's programme listing gives the runtime as 27 minutes. The streaming service offers subtitles in English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Korean, among other languages.
Netflix describes the material as “Captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5” in its announcement. The presentation combines story scenes with gameplay sequences, showing both conversations and action.
The opening sequence places the two lead characters in a mission that develops into armed confrontations. Their exchanges accompany the action, showing how they respond to events while working together.
Other scenes move away from combat and explore their relationship. In one sequence, Jason waits for Lucia, takes a drink from the refrigerator and watches television, according to Push Square's report.
Rockstar's story description places the pair inside a criminal conspiracy across Leonida after a planned crime goes wrong. The account presents their reliance on each other as part of the central storyline.
Additionally, the footage includes racing, kayaking and scuba diving. These scenes cover activities outside the main missions, with land and water settings appearing throughout the presentation.
Players can switch between Jason and Lucia when they travel together, including between the driver and passenger seats. The preview also shows crowded interiors, including a nightclub that Jason moves through.
The footage shows players selecting dialogue prompts when interacting with other characters. Meanwhile, the pair appear in different outfits, ranging from casual clothing to formal wear. These sequences sit alongside scenes of exploration and gunfire.
Push Square also reports a six-star wanted level. Police pursuit indicators display details such as clothing and vehicle descriptions. A separate focus feature helps players locate officers, replacing police markers on the map.
The presentation also gives viewers a closer look at lighting, reflections and environmental details. Its city scenes include background characters going about their activities.

Rockstar schedules Grand Theft Auto 6 for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The company's official website continues to display that date and offers preorders for the console release.
The studio has not announced a PC version or a release date for computers. Rockstar previously targeted May 26, 2026, before moving the launch to the November slot.
Rockstar announced the current launch date on November 6, 2025. The upcoming release follows Grand Theft Auto V, which first launched in 2013, placing 13 years between the games.
