Pyth Network Rallies 17% Ahead of Gate’s October Staking Product Exit

PYTH rose 17.14% to USD 0.0865 as 24-hour trading volume increased 48.43% to USD 61.28 million. The rally followed a price breakout and Pyth Network’s Nasdaq Basic data announcement. Traders are watching USD 0.08 support and Gate’s October 8 removal of its PYTH staking product.

Pyth Network’s PYTH token rose 17.14% in 24 hours to USD 0.0865, while trading volume climbed 48.43% to USD 61.28 million. The move followed a break above a price level traders had watched near USD 0.0632.

It also came days after Pyth announced that it would distribute Nasdaq Basic market data. The price and volume figures show stronger trading activity during the rally. They do not establish how much of the gain came from the Nasdaq announcement or other developments.

PYTH Breaks Above Resistance as Volume Rises

PYTH moved above USD 0.0632, a level identified by trader WhaleFactor as resistance. It later traded above USD 0.0800, putting the focus on whether buyers can keep the token above that level after the sharp rise.

Trading volume reached USD 61.28 million over 24 hours, up 48.43%. Higher volume accompanied the price move, although the figures alone do not show whether demand will continue. PYTH traded at about USD 0.0867 in another market reading, up 16.68% at that point. The small difference reflects the timing of the two readings.

Technical indicators pointed to a rapid advance. PYTH traded above its hourly 20-period moving average near USD 0.0800 and its 50-period average near USD 0.0755. Its relative strength index reached 73.36, a reading traders often associate with an overbought market. That reading can signal a pause or pullback, but it does not predict when either will occur.

NASDAQ Basic Joins Pyth’s Data Marketplace

On September 22, Pyth announced its approval as an external distributor of Nasdaq Basic. The product supplies real-time quotes and trade data for U.S. equities. Pyth said it would offer the feed through its Data Marketplace, which connects data providers with financial applications.

The arrangement expands the types of market data available through Pyth. However, customers seeking the Nasdaq Basic feed need prior written approval from Nasdaq. The announcement did not provide a figure for new customers or revenue tied to the distribution arrangement.

Pyth’s rise followed the end of support for rival oracle provider Switchboard’s services on September 25. Developers that used those services may need another provider for price data. Pyth is one possible option, but no verified migration total links Switchboard’s closure to PYTH’s 24-hour price gain. A reported rise in the Altcoin Season Index over the past week provides broader market context for the move.

Traders Watch USD 0.0800 and Gate’s October Deadline

The first price level to watch is USD 0.0800, near PYTH’s hourly 20-period moving average. Another support level sits near USD 0.0797. A fall below USD 0.0750 would put the USD 0.0650 area in view, based on the levels cited in the market analysis.

On the upside, traders have identified USD 0.0948 as a possible resistance level. These are conditional price levels, not forecasts. PYTH would need to retain its recent gains before testing higher prices.

Gate has announced that it will remove its PYTH staking product on October 8, 2026, and automatically redeem remaining positions. The notice concerns Gate’s staking product. Traders will monitor the date alongside PYTH’s price and trading volume.
