Nvidia has agreed to acquire minority stakes in French technology startups Doctolib and Genesis AI, expanding its European artificial intelligence investments. The October 13 announcement highlights Nvidia’s push into healthcare and robotics through strategic partnerships with emerging French companies.
The chipmaker is also investing in Pigment and Entalpic, according to reports from French newspaper Les Echos. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced the planned investments in Paris alongside French Economy Minister Roland Lescure, strengthening the company’s presence across France’s AI ecosystem.
Doctolib, a healthcare platform, confirmed Nvidia’s planned investment but did not disclose the stake size or financial terms. The company expects Nvidia’s involvement to accelerate AI development and support new tools for healthcare professionals and patients.
Doctolib plans to expand its in-house AI capabilities while using Nvidia’s computing infrastructure. Its strategy includes developing assistants for doctors and patients and automating administrative tasks across healthcare services.
Genesis AI confirmed Nvidia’s role as a strategic investor in a statement. The robotics startup’s partnership aligns with Nvidia’s broader ambitions in physical AI, which enables machines to interact with and respond to real-world environments.
Pigment develops enterprise planning software, while Entalpic applies artificial intelligence to chemistry and scientific research. The investments extend Nvidia’s reach beyond chip sales into business software, robotics, healthcare and AI-driven scientific discovery.
Nvidia has not disclosed the financial value or ownership percentages associated with the four investments. The planned deals reflect its strategy of supporting startups that can build products and services around its AI computing technology.
The move also strengthens France’s position in Europe’s competitive artificial intelligence market. Nvidia’s backing could help these startups expand development, attract talent and build more advanced AI applications across multiple industries.
