Artificial intelligence is making deeper inroads into business operations, with sales emerging as the next area expected to undergo significant change. Nooks, an AI-powered sales automation startup, has secured a USD 500 million funding commitment from General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund to accelerate its expansion and introduce new products.

The funding arrangement comes as businesses increasingly explore AI tools to automate sales activities, improve productivity, and strengthen customer acquisition. Nooks believes sales will be among the next professions transformed by artificial intelligence.

Nooks Secures USD 500 Million Funding Commitment

Unlike conventional equity investments, General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund will not take an ownership stake in Nooks. Instead, the fund will receive a share of the returns generated through its capital commitment.

Nooks CEO Dan Lee did not disclose further financial terms. The funding is expected to support the company's aggressive growth plans, product development, and expansion.

Nooks also expects to nearly triple its annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of 2026, although it has not disclosed its current revenue figures. The investment highlights growing interest in AI companies building specialized tools for business operations, particularly those focused on sales and revenue generation.

Nooks Counts Over 2,000 Customers

Nooks currently serves more than 2,000 customers, including Cursor, Notion, Replit, Glean, and HubSpot. The company has also reported a net revenue retention rate of 135%, indicating that revenue from existing customers has grown through increased spending and broader adoption.

Its customer base reflects growing demand for AI-powered platforms that can help sales teams manage time-consuming activities and improve their productivity.

General Catalyst has backed the company's business model, highlighting its predictable revenue engine and unit economics.

Revenue Agent Platform Targets End-to-End Sales Automation

Nooks also formally launched its Revenue Agent Platform alongside the funding announcement. It is designed to automate sales activities across the customer lifecycle.

The platform covers multiple stages of the sales process, from initial outreach through customer renewal. By using AI agents to handle these activities, the company aims to reduce manual workload and let sales professionals focus on customer relationships and strategic decisions.

The launch reflects Nooks' broader ambition to use artificial intelligence to change how businesses generate revenue.

AI Adoption Reshapes Sales Operations

As companies look for ways to improve operational efficiency, AI-powered sales platforms are attracting attention for their ability to automate repetitive tasks.

Nooks' latest funding commitment and product launch highlight investor interest in specialized AI applications that address specific business requirements. The company's expansion will test how far businesses are willing to integrate AI agents into core revenue-generating operations.
