Bharti Airtel continues to strengthen its prepaid offerings with a wide range of recharge plans catering to light users, heavy data consumers, long-term subscribers, and 5G users. As of August 2026, the telecom operator offers plans starting from Rs. 199 for basic connectivity and extending to annual packs priced at Rs. 3,999, which combine unlimited calling, daily data benefits, and complimentary 5G access for eligible users.

The updated portfolio reflects Airtel's strategy of encouraging customers to migrate to higher-value plans while addressing growing demand for high-speed mobile data and longer validity. The move comes as India's telecom operators compete to improve average revenue per user (ARPU) through premium recharge options rather than frequent tariff revisions.

5G and Data Add-Ons Remain Key Focus Areas

Airtel offers several data add-ons for users who finish using the day’s allotted data through these vouchers. They provide access to quick data without affecting the validity of the prepaid pack already in use, helping users when they use up more data than expected.

Airtel also markets unlimited 5G connectivity as one of the main features for those users who have opted for such plans from among the available choices. With more coverage of 5G becoming available in many cities, Airtel is now motivating users to upgrade to packages where they have higher daily limits along with the next-gen connectivity.
