India Blockchain Week (IBW) Conference will move to Mumbai for its fourth edition. Reportedly, the Indian blockchain ecosystem is shifting towards institutional adoption and real-world applications. The two-day conference will take place on November 1 and 2, 2026, at Fairmont Mumbai.

Hosted by Hashed Emergent, the event will bring together blockchain founders, developers, investors, enterprises, policymakers, and other ecosystem participants. The move marks a shift from Bengaluru, where the previous three editions were held, to Mumbai, India's financial capital.

Institutional Forum Brings Finance Leaders Together

Announcing the 2026 edition, Tak Lee, Managing Director & CEO of Hashed Emergent, said, “ India has firmly established itself as one of the world's most important Web3 ecosystems, with developers, founders, and builders playing a central role in its growth. The launch of our two new sub-forums, the Institutional Forum and the Future Asset Forum, reflects the continued evolution of the Web3 ecosystem in India.”

Last year's edition brought together more than 3,500 attendees. The event also featured some of the most influential names in the global blockchain ecosystem. This includes:

  • Ethereum (ETH) Co-founder Vitalik Buterin

  • Base Founder Jesse Pollak

  • Polygon (POL) Co-founder Sandeep Nailwal

  • Eigen Labs CEO Sreeram Kannan

  • Aptos Labs Co-founder and CEO Avery Ching

The broader conference programme will cover decentralised finance, infrastructure, tokenisation, AI, digital identity, consumer applications and developer ecosystems. Keynotes, fireside conversations, panels, startup showcases and networking sessions will form part of the two-day event.

Mumbai to Anchor Wider Web3 Activity

The conference will serve as the centrepiece of a broader week of blockchain and Web3 activities across Mumbai. IBW's official platform lists more than 90 independent events, including hackathons, workshops, networking sessions and investor gatherings.

The organisers said the event is being held ahead of Devcon. Looking ahead, it also aims to strengthen India's role in global blockchain discussions.
